Master Degree in Veterinary Medical Sciences (MVSc)
Student must have a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from one of the Egyptian universities or an equivalent degree in veterinary sciences certified by The Supreme Council of Universities with a grade of “C” least (65- Less than 70%).
Or has obtained one of the postgraduate diplomas with an overall rating of "C+" diploma (70- at least 75 %).
Students who have obtained a postgraduate diploma in veterinary sciences may from one of the Egyptian universities under the same conditions could be accepted.
For admission, the incoming student must have a bachelor’s degree in veterinary science from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree in veterinary sciences certified by the Supreme Council of Universities with an overall grade of “D+” (at least 65 %).
Conditions for awarding the Master Degree in Veterinary Medical Sciences (MVSc)
The student studies 36 credit hours, of which 18 credit hours are for studying courses in two semesters, each semester is 15 weeks long, 18 hours approved for the thesis preparation, provided that the duration of the thesis preparation shall not be less than two semesters.
The student studies one core course in each semester for 3 credit hours. In addition to” the Scientific Research Ethics and Skills” course, which is 2 credit hours in the first semester, and the remaining credit hours are completed from the elective courses chosen by the student with the help of the academic supervisor, on condition that at least one of the elective courses is from different specialty.
The student registers from 7 (minimum) to 9 (maximum) credit hours in the first semester (7-9) credit hours in the second semester. The courses in which the student did not register are registered and studied in the parallel academic semesters of the following year.
The student successfully passes the written, oral and practical examination in all Courses in which he is registered. The examination is held at the end of each semester in all the registered courses, in addition to the courses in which he previously failed. The student is not awarded more than the maximum grade point "C" (69%) if he succeeds in the courses he failed previously.
The student does research and prepare a thesis that is accepted by the judging and discussion committee. The thesis topic and the supervisory committee are not determined unless the student has successfully passed all the registered courses.
Submission Requirements
Original birth certificate.
Original bachelor’s degree certificate (statement of grades). (The student must have a good general grade and a very good major, or vice versa) with the condition that one year has passed since graduation.
Original diploma course statement certificate. (The student must have a very good grade in the major).
Copy of valid national ID card.
6 personal photos (including a photo used to extract the university card when needed).
Complete the online registration form.
Withdrawing the file from the graduate studies department.
Receipt of payment of tuition fees.
Tuition fees for the first year: 4700 LE
Tuition fees for the second year: 5300 LE
