To be a distinguished centre of excellence for teaching and research in Veterinary Microbiology locally and regionally.
The Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University is dedicated for education and development of Microbiology curriculum to both undergraduate and post graduate levels in order to supply graduated veterinarians capable of identifying microbes affecting animals, aquatic and poultry resources. In addition, the Department conducts researches and offers diagnostic services for the society and environmental development to fulfill the requirements of the local and regional veterinary field in line with professional ethics.
