The department aims to keep abreast of all that is new and developed in the various branches of anatomy, through:

1. The student obtains a standard and high level of basic scientific knowledge in the field of specialization
2. Understand the basic principles of the study of veterinary anatomy and the various fields related to it.
3. Building scientific expertise according to a scientific approach that opens the horizons of creativity and development in the field of specialization.
4. Consolidating the process of critical thinking and self-education of the student to raise his scientific abilities.
5. Develop students' abilities in research, analysis and deduction.
6. Supporting and documenting scientific links with scientific institutions in Egyptian, Arab and foreign universities.
7. Extending bridges of communication with other departments in the college that benefit from the educational outputs of the department (such as surgery - Theriogenology - internal medicine - poultry and fish) in order to identify the actual needs of students from the courses taught by the department.
8. Develop mechanisms for continuous updating of educational curricula and programs.
9. Seeking to develop the teaching and research staff by sending missions abroad.
10. Contribute with other college units in developing mechanisms to ensure the quality of the educational process
11. Providing distinguished postgraduate programs that contribute to the preparation of creative students
12. Motivating postgraduate students to innovate and be familiar with sober scientific research methods.
13. Contribute to scientific research and studies to serve the implementation of the college's research plan.
