Our vision is to lead the premier curriculum for professional students in pathology and Master /PhD training for future scientists, teachers, and diagnosticians as a national resource. The impact will be excellence in all the two mission areas. Our department will provide access to the best experts in pathology in the areas of infectious and emerging diseases, parasitic diseases, animal models, and diseases of high consequence to animal and human health through integrated education, diagnostics, and research.
The department is dedicated for training the undergraduate and postgraduate students on using the microscope to know the pathological changes in different tissues and organs due to different types of agents, how to differentiate between the different types of these changes. Train the students on postmortem examination of the dead animals to reach to the accurate diagnosis and the cause of death. The department offers a community service by pursuing applicable scientific research to help in diagnosis the diseases and solving the problems which may affect the animals, poultry and fish production.
